Suspense Helper

For Chartered Accountants in India

Clear the suspense ledger before the deadline, not after it.

Suspense Helper reads your client's bank statement, suggests what each unknown entry is, and asks the client to confirm from their phone. You review, approve and export a finished ledger.

How it works

  1. Import the statement

Bring in the client's bank statement as Excel, CSV or PDF. Large ledgers with thousands of entries are fine.

  2. Get suggestions

Each unknown entry gets a suggested ledger head, marked sure, likely or a guess, so you know what to check.

  3. Client confirms

The client answers the open questions in the free phone app. You review every answer and export the cleared ledger.

Your clients' data stays yours

Ledgers are encrypted on your device. When you share with a client, the data is end-to-end encrypted, so only you and your client can read it. We cannot.

The suggestion engine runs on your own computer. Bank narrations are not sent to any outside AI service.

Built for Indian practices

Understands UPI, NEFT, IMPS and cheque narrations from Indian banks. Works in English, Marathi and Hindi.

Suspense Helper is a helper for the Chartered Accountant. It suggests; you decide. Final entries and filings remain your professional responsibility.

Why we built it

My own suspense ledger had 1,023 unexplained entries and sat pending at my CA's office for weeks. I built the first version of this tool for myself and cleared every entry in a single day. Now we are building it for CA firms. Pratik Powar, founder

Availability

We are now onboarding founding CA firms. The desktop app runs on Windows, and the client app runs on Android. Mac, Linux and iPhone versions are planned.
